This rifle was first described in The Home Shop Machinist magazine, and now is in video form. Steve uses some techniques and state-of-the-art tools never before seen on video. Every step of machining the receiver, bolt, barrel and scope mounts is shown. He discusses and shows the various components, tools and products he uses when building this highly precise firearm. 2 DVDs. 4 hours 10 minutes.
Steve’s many years of experience and in-depth knowledge of forging damascus is on full display in this demonstration. Although the canister pattern that he forges in this video may be somewhat simple, the principles taught throughout the video can be used to produce virtually any other more complex pattern.
This amazing chest was made by a Sheffield pattern maker, Ernest Warrington, when he was just 18 years old. The chest itself is discussed and drawings of the chest are included in the book. The marquetry is examined in detail and the techniques used are explained. The book is copiously illustrated with more than 100 colour illustrations, plus black and white illustrations, maps and drawings.
In this DVD ABS Founder and Master Smith Bill Moran makes an excellent presentation on the techniques he used to make handles, guards, and sheaths for his legendary forged blades. This DVD would be an excellent addition to the reference library of every bladesmith and collector.
