A BLACKSMITH’S CRAFT (The Legacy of Francis Whitaker – A Compendium of Processes, Tools, Patterns):

Some comments on ‘A Blacksmith’s Craft’:

"If you could only have one blacksmithing book, this would be the one." – Clay Spencer

"There is not a better introduction to the art, craft and philosophy of  Blacksmithing – inspirational."Mark McKay

"FANTASTIC"

"This book will become the ‘standard’ by which all others will be measured."

"I am thrilled with what you have done for the blacksmithing community."

‘A Blacksmith’s Craft’ is a compendium for blacksmiths of all levels to preserve techniques and processes essential for the mastery of traditional blacksmithing. Several years in the making, this is a serious expansion of Francis Whitaker’s first book with over 800 photos and drawings.

Francis Whitaker wanted a real reference work this time and this is Volume I of that ambitious project. There is lots of input in these books from blacksmiths all over the place. The sad part is that Francis died before Part 1 was completed but he was very clear on how he wanted it done. He would be very happy with the book.

The publisher  will also give a portion of the profits from this book to The Francis Whitaker Blacksmith’s Educational Foundation.

Hardcover, over 800 photos & drawings, 157 pages.
