Description
If your interest is in making ethanol alcohol than this book is for you. Included are instructions on how to acquire a license from the A.T.F., how to brew and distill high proof alcohol necessary to run engines, and the detailed plans necessary to build this six gallon still.
The copper material used in this project is easily formed and no exotic equipment is needed to build the still. All you’ll need are common hand tools.
To briefly describe how the still works, the wash is poured into the inner tank and heated indirectly by an electric heating element that heats the water contained in the outer tank.
As the alcohol reaches its boiling point it begins to rise into the column in vapor form. Most of the water that is contained in the vapor is removed in the rectifying column. When the vapors reach the water cooled condenser they change back into a liquid. That liquid is 170 to 190 proof ethanol alcohol.
This is an excellent book filled with lots of hard to find info.
