- Each Fresco has a hook for hanging on wall. A small metal stand is also included to put fresco on table, etc.
Pietro Perugino’s The Almighty with Prophets and Sybils was completed 1500. The original fresco is located at the Collegio di Cambio, in Perugia (Umbria), Italy. It is an extraordinary example of high Renaissance painting. Our reproduction portrays a detail of the original. Our fresco reproductions are done while the mortar is still wet so that the pigments, drying with the mortar, become permanently incorporated in it.
OUR TECHNIQUE: We reproduce paintings by means of the pictography technique. This method enables us to make reproductions with the same characteristics as a painting. We are located near Perugia (Italy), in Umbria, in the Upper Tiber Valley. Years of research and experimentation in the field of painting and restoration have enable us to return with great precision to the materials and methods used by the masters of the Renaissance to make reproductions on plaster. For these fresco type reproductions we use the same type of mortar mix which Giotto used for his mural paintings. This is a mortar free of salts and alkalis which would contribute to deterioration and corrosion over time. Each reproduction is done individually with the final touches made by expert painters who are all Italian art academy graduates. Every reproduction is accompanied by a certificate attesting to the originality of the materials and methods used to create it.
