Falk No. 1 Locomotive first appeared in a series originally offered by Live Steam magazine. The popular 1-1/2″ scale Falk logging locomotive, a model of the 1884 standard gauge logging workhorse, continues to captivate builders. The full scale Falk featured a non-reversing “Gypsy” winch for hoisting and dragging in the logging operation. Our Falk’s gypsy winch is powerful and fun to operate.

The fuel of choice for Falk No. 1 is clean burning propane. Construction of the burner system and a riding/propane car are included.

At about 65 pounds, the Falk is a small, simple engine that’s easy to lift and transport to the track.
