Description
This book accompanies the landmark Lancaster Long Rifle Exhibit held in 2012 at the Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The reader will find inside over sixty examples of outstanding Lancaster rifles, pistols and powder horns, from the functional Leman rifles to the exquisitely carved rifles of John Beck and Isaac Haines.
Until now, no extensive display has been devoted entirely to the firearms made in Lancaster County. For those unable to attend the Exhibit, this book stands as the catalog for an exhibit that will long be remembered as a major contribution to the public’s appreciation of the long rifle’s role in American history
